Die Another Day
James Bond teams up with a beautiful American NSA agent to
take down a ruthless business-man and a double-agent in his own
organization.
Director Lee Tamahori (Along Came A Spider) presents the twen-
tieth James Bond adventure; and from the action to the women, there
is nothing missing in this sequel.
Pierce Brosnan (The World Is Not Enough) returns for his fourth
run as the suave and skilled Agent 007, and still pulls off the role
with a smoothness that was decidedly lacking since Sean Connery
left the role back in the seventies. He is definitely one of the better
Bonds, and it is good news that he will be returning for another
sequel. Joining him this time around is Academy Award Winner
Halle Berry (Monster’s Ball) as a beautiful and seductive US NSA
agent; and Toby Stevens (Possession) as the evil diamond-smuggler
Gustav Graves.
A typical James Bond film, Die Another Day has all the action,
sex, gadgets, and verbal sparring that have become the staples of the
series. Some things never go out of style; though the ironic quips get
a bit stale as the movie rolls on. All the explosive action sequences
make up for any dullness and the chase scene on the glacier in
Iceland alone is worth seeing the movie for.
All in all, another great Bond movie. If you’ve ever seen a Bond
movie, you know what to expect; if not, there’s no better time to
jump into the genre.
