5 • 11AM to 4PM • Hangar 885
hiring activities for children.
Kids can enjoy games, crafts,
face painting and much
more. And for the young at
heart, adults will be allowed
to play too!
For those looking to
relax after some serious din-
ing, sit and enjoy music from
the band "Half and Half".
This group has performed at
previous base events, most
recently at last year's Rockin'
Road Show.
Road Closures & Parking
To get to the hangar on
Saturday, base residents are
encouraged to walk (weather
permitting). South Lane will
be closed to traffic turning
onto International Highway
(at the stop sign between the
NEX and car lot), and
International Highway will
be closed to traffic headed
west at tire intersection of Air
Force Avenue.
There will be very
limited parking at
the NCTS parking
lot and the gravel
parking area in
front of Hangar
885.
Base residents will
be able to enter the carnival
through the pedestrian gate
at the south end of the
hangar. However, you MUST
have your ID card in order to
use this gate.
Security Measures
Security officers from
NAS Keflavik and the
Icelandic police will be
checking each person as they
enter Hangar 885. Bags are
not encouraged and will be
subject to search.
Come and Have Fun
Don't miss this great fes-
tival open to all base resi-
dents and the Icelandic com-
munity. It will be a great time
to dine, play and relax as we
begin the Memorial Day
weekend.
