Larry Holt of the Rockets was
chosen player of the week for his
24 and 26 point performance in
his teams wins over UMFN and
NSGA, which clinched first place
in the A league.
Larry is an excellent rebound-
er for his size and also a . good
playmaker. Adding his shooting
ability to his other talents
makes Larry a complete eager.
Leaving Iceland soon, Larry is
returning to college in West
Virginia.
Larry was a tremendous asset
to the base team in the Ambassarr
dor Cup series last season.
Player
of
IPC works
to open gym
The Iceland Prime Contractor
is working around the clock so
the gymnasium will not be closed
longer than necessary to do the
renovation.
The handball court has been
dismantled so no courts will be
available until the three courts
under construction are finished.
When the gymnasium reopens,
new showers, a drain for the dry-
ing room, lighting for the weight
room, shelves for supply and work
rooms and a complete renovation
of the bleachers and floor will
be accomplished.
Vogan, Gay, Prior
top league action
Carolyn Vogan rolled a 169 for
high game in the Enlisted Wives'
league. Jo Teeter claimed high
series for the week with a 460
and high average at 151. Josies'
Gang is in first place.
Woodie Gay copped two of the
league titles in the North Atlan-
tic league. He rolled a 225-635
for high game and high series.
The men from 57th FIS Munitions
held onto first place with Rick
Page's league average of 189 at
the top.
Denny Prior from Public Works
claimed two of the National
league titles. He rolled a 548
series and holds down a 181 aver-
age. Chuck Sedgewick from 57th
FIS bowled a 214 for high game of
the week.
Ping Pong News ^
Harry Haddix remains undefeat-
ed in the ping pong tourney. Greg
Ghoste and Jim Fantum have slip-
ped in the standings. Bill
Spivey, Spider Weber and Bill
Boquist each have one loss.
Youth Center
slates parties
Tonight is Junior Teen Night
at the Youth Center. The sched-
ule for the evening includes dec-
orating Christmas cookies for the
Christmas tree. Hot chocolate
will be served. It starts at 7
p.m. and a bus will run at 9:10
p.m. for transportation home.
Family Day at the Youth Center’
is scheduled for Sunday from 3:30
to 5:30 p.m. Making decorations
for the Christmas tree and decor-
ating the tree for the Youth Cen-
ter are included in the fun. Re-
freshments will be served. This
is not a regular operating day
for the Youth Center, and no
child will be permitted in with-
out at least one of his parents.
Contest slated
There will be a set and foul
shooting contests at the A.E.
House Gymnasium from Dec. 15 to
31. Anyone over the age of 12
may enter the basketball contest.
There will be a final shoot-
off Jan. 5 at 6 p.m. First and
second place awards will be give:
for ladies and men.
