The White Falcon - 22.03.1974, Side 2
WHAT A WAY TO SEE ICELAND—That's what Sgt Linda Oliver, Sgt Janet
Taylor and Sgt Pat Mallow of Air Forces Iceland said after their
ride with Detachment 14 of the 39th Aerospace Rescue and Recovery
Wing's "Jolly Green Giant" helicopter. Crew member Sgt Steve
Birkland, pictured with the girls, pointed out many of the sights
in Iceland, such as the whaling station at Whale Bay, numerous wa-
terfalls and the Heimaey volcano that erupted last January. (Offi-
cial U.S. Navy photo)
