Arctic Bowl sets league policy
Several changes have recently
been made in the policy of the
Naval Station bowling alley.
The changes, which are out-
lined in NAVSTAKEF Notice 1710,
are designed to provide a maximum
opportunity for all personnel to
use the bowling facility.
Under the new policy, intra-
mural bowling leagues are limited
to using 10 lanes while other
leagues are restricted to eight
lanes. No leagues will be per-
mitted to reserve lanes on week-
ends and bowling tournaments will
use a maximum of eight lanes.
Bowlers will be permitted to
participate in a maximum of two
leagues during the time from 5-
12 p.m. weekdays. There is no
restriction on the number of
leagues in which a person may
participate at other times, ex-
cept a priority system based on
a player's total league play par-
ticipation. For example, a per-
son not bowling in any league has
priority over others already in
a league.
All personnel will receive an
equal opportunity to try out for
league membership.
Keflavik Judo Club now in its 4th year
The NATO base Judo Club, now
in its fourth year, is extending
an invitation for new members.

taught, but some of the other
martial arts are also studied.
Classes are given every Tuesday
and Thursday night at 6 p.m. at
the Lower School multi-purpose
room.
Classes are also held in self-
defense. These classes are aimed
primarily toward women of the
NATO base, but are open to men
as well.
The Keflavik Judo Club is
sanctioned through the United
States Judo Association. For

Sunlamp and steam rooms opened to ladies
There's something new at the
gym for women. The sun lamp room
and the steam room are being made
available for use. Every Monday,
Wednesday, and Friday during La-
dies hours, from 9-11 a.m., the
rooms will be open.
There is no charge for the use
of these facilities, however, a
small rental fee is charged for
towel and locker service.
&
Proper use of these servi^B
can be incorporated into part of
a health program. The sun lamp
room and the steam room offer re-
creation and relaxation.
The opportunity to continually
use the sun lamp room and the
steam room depends upon the re-
sponse of its use by all ladies—
wives, dependents and active duty
military.
