Wilson vows he will never again send his team out to play in a game worked by the official. His remarks followed the 31-21 loss to the Miami Dolphins which eliminated the Bills from the playoffs. The controversial call by Head Lines- man Jerry Bergman took place in the final quarter on an apparent fumble by Miami's Mercury Morris, recovered by the Bills. however, Bergman ruled the whistle had blown the play dead before Morris lost the ball at the Miami 28. Bergman penalized the Bills 15 yards because, he said, Buffalo defensive end Pat Toomay elbowed him in the scramble for the loose ball. The penalty gave the Dolphins the ball on their 43 and, on the next play, Don Nottingham ran 56 yards to set up Norm Bullich's one-yard scoring plunge. Says Wilson—"He should be fired from the job and never allowed to work anoth- er game." Wilson admits he risks a stiff fine from NFL Commissioner Pete Rozelle for making such a criticism of the official. Grapple tourney success The first wrestling tournament on the base was a success, as 38 wrestlers participated in both team and individual competition. The team competition was close right up to the end. Det 14 took an early lead, and finally managed to stave off a last minute bid by the Marines for the first place slot—defeating the Corps by a 70-67 margin. Finishing third was NCS with PW following in fourth place. Wrestling class winners Wt.
