Game of the week
CFK's 40-38 win over Supply was re-
cognized as the game of the week. The
score was 17-16 in favor of CFK at half-
time as both teams battled for the lead.
The lead changed hands several times
before CFK took an 8 point edge, only to
have Supply reply with three quick bas-
kets. However, their rally came up
short.
High scorers for Supply were Jim
Radford with 14 points followed by
Harold Coggins with 10 while Don Johnson
led CFK with 12. High point of the game
was the defensive job Coggins did on Don
Johnson who is averaging 21 points a
game.
Player of the week
Harold Coggins of Supply was chosen
as player of the week for his great de-
fense against high scoring Don Johnson
of CFK. He is also the leading scorer
for Supply averaging 13.1 a game while
having to rebound against the other
team's biggest man. Coggins at 6'2", is
an excellent outside shooter and hits
the boards hard. His team play is ex-
cellentr-as he never takes a bad shot.
Ambassador's Cup
The five game series for the Ambas-
sador's Cup will begin soon. It is fea-
turing our station team and the Icelan-
dic national team. The Icelandic na-
tional team has won every year but one
so they will be heavily favored this
year. However, superb team effort
could upset the predictions. The addi-
tion of Mike Trotter and Jimmy Rogers to
the Icelandic team is figured to sway
the balance.
Rachetball
Det 3's upset win over 57th threw the
A league into a virtual tie among five
teams, 57th VP-56, Det 3, IDF and Det
360. The next two weeks will decide the
issue.
In the B league, Recreation, NCS1 and
Rockville are still in the running with
the match between NCS1 and Recreation
the big deciding factor.
Doubles tourney
The 1976 open doubles tournament in
racquetball will start around Jan. 23.
All entries must be called into Dick
Plante, 5191. Entries must be according
