Cup tourney The Icelandic men and women swept the Ambassador’s Cup Series Saturday, win- ning 5-0 and 2-1, respectively. For Iceland, the men swooped the five game series with determined court play. The fast and talented team topped the Billikens whose tallest man, being 6:3, was no match for the Icelandic team which has Peter Steinbach who stands 7:1. In the final game, Iceland opened a 34-25 lead at halftime, scoring in the second half until the final score was 96-42. Robin Russler was the only Billiken high scorer with 11 while Rikki 18, Bjarmi 17, Yon Ger, 14 and Yon Sig, .12, led the Icelandic team. The women’s final game was never really close because the Icelandic team took a 23-14 halftime lead, and gradually lengthened it until the final margin of 46-27. In inspired and aggressive action, the Icelandic women scrambled for re- bounds and loose balls. NATO's shooting percentage was poor; Hafdis Austin was the only high point player. Gudvon Bargeredottir was top scorer for the Icelandic team with 17. WANTED. JL Courageous people to work for no pay. Frequently the hours and conditions are inconvenient or difficult.
