FRIDAY, 9:15 p.m.—STARSKY AND HUTCH— Series starts. While investigating a crime Starsky discovers his partner's girlfriend is a high-priced prostitute. Westman Islands movie tonight at 7 p.m. The USO will be showing a sneak preview for all those going on the Westman Islands Safari tomorrow and anyone else interested in viewing the actual volcanic eruption which occurred in 1973. At 6 p.m., the USO will be bound for Reykjavik for a night on the town. USO will include an Icelandic fashion show, scattered floor shows and will even be able to enter the drawing for a trip to Florida! Join the USO for this Iceland Home Show which exibits all kinds of Icelandic products and features demonstrations throughout the evening. Everyone is welcome to attend the first USO arts and crafts demonstra- tion tomorrow at 3 p.m. USO will show how anyone can turn trash and household items-into-treasures, just in time for Christmas presents. Enter your favor- ite recipe at the USO on Sept. 24, USO cooks will set out the three best recipes for taco connoiseurs to sample, and the winner will receive a month's worth of freebie slips for tacos. The experiments of two biochemists succeed in splitting human cells, caus- ing them to multiply. Stars Lon Chaney, Marian Carr and Ross Elliott. SATURDAY: DEADLY GAME—Frank Serpico, a young and uncorruptible undercover New York cop assigned to the narcotics squad, links a loan shark to a drug smuggling operation, and sets a trap for the "top man". Stars: David Birney, Lane Bradbury and Tom Atkins. SATURDAY: TIME TRAVELERS—A young doc- tor, seeking a cure for a rare disease, allows himself to be transported into the past, to a time just before the Chicago Fire. There he hopes to talk to a doc- tor who apparently has found a cure for the disease. He looks toward us- ing this valuable knowledge when he is returned to the present. Stars: Francine York, Sam Groom and Richard Basehart. SUNDAY: THE LONELIEST RUNNER— This drama depicts an unusual subject— "Teenage Bed Wetting". Its humiliation is suffered by a likeable athlete—a 13- year-old named John Curtis. His dominer- ing mother blames his problem--laziness, and his weak willed father offers symp- athy but little help, leaving John haun- ted by self doubt and a growing fear his schoolmates know of his shame. Written, produced and directed by and starring Michael Landon with Lance Kerwin, Brian Keith and Deann Mears. MONDAY: MAGNIFICIENT GLADIATOR—A sword and sandal epic depicting one phase of the life on Hercules. Stars: Mark Forest and Marilu Tolo. TUESDAY: COMMANDO ATTACK—On the eve of the Allied invasion of Normandy in World War II, an American Commando group of jailbirds and misfits are sent to dis- pose of a vital German radio transmitter located in a supposedly impregnable fortress.
