Baseball pictures
now available
Little League team and individual
photographs which were ordered during
the Little League banquets are now a-
vailable and can be picked up at Qtrs.
1069-C from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The pictures were taken before the
end of the Little league season and were
paid for when they were ordered by in-
dividual families.
Intramural swim meet
slated on base
A base wide intramural swimming com-
petition is still under consideration.
A meeting for all swimming coaches will
be held Tuesday to explain the rules for
meets.
There must be a minimum of four teams
to start the competition. Again the
following events will be offered:
50 meter freestyle
50 meter breaststroke
50 meter backstroke
50 meter butterfly
100 meter freestyle
100 meter breaststroke
100 meter backstroke
100 meter butterfly
100 meter individual medley
200 meter team medley
400 meter team freestyle relay
NOTE: Competition will start approxi-
mately Dec. 5 and will end approximately
April 25, 1978.

Housecats in first
The Housecats held onto first place
by winning three of their six games
played this past week.
Led by Fern Arendell, Jackie Spratt
and Diane Prochnow, the Housecats took
two of three games from the Alleycats.
The return of Jodie Windbigler to
the Wildcats enabled them to move into
second place. The wildcats won four
of six games played.
In singles, Jodie won two matches
and in doubles Cherie Autrey, Beth
these matches Melanie won 21-15.
Other games played in singles were
Carol Lemmons who won 21-13, Loida
Hopper 21-3 and 21-8, Linda Stonley won
21-3, Laura Valente won 21-3 and Fern
Arendell won 21-0.
Outstanding player of the week is
Fern Arendell. Beth Cornell is the
Rookie of the week because she hustles
whether she wins or loses.

The new gym floor looks beautiful;
however, how long it lasts will depend
on you, the public. Make sure you re-
move your shoes prior to walking on the
floor.
Sidelines or going to the bleachers
is not included in the above ; however,
shooting baskets or any other activity
on the floor is inclusive. This is your
gym floor so let’s keep it looking nice
for awhile.
As much as the gym is a necessity in
the younger serviceman's way of life, it
is imperative that we do not have to re-
surface it too often.
Any trespassing on the courts with
illegal shoes will be subject to punish-
ment according to fieldhouse regulations.

Upcoming sports
Intermural basketball
The 1977-'78 intermural basketball
season will commence Monday. Five
games will be played nightly starting
at 5:30 p.m.
"A", "B" and "C" leagues will be
formed. A recreational league will
also be formed.
A preseason tourney began Monday
and will end tomorrow to determine
placement of teams. Information on
tourney will be available next week.
Ladies' basketball
Units or groups are urged to form
teams to enable ladies basketball to
be played. At least four teams are
needed but six are preferred.
Anyone interested in organizing a
team, contact Dick Plante at the base
gym at ext. 4558. Also anyone inter-
ested in playing may also contact
Dick Plante.
Men's racquetball
Men's racquetball will start Mon-
day with many teams chasing the
illusive rainbow.
Not much information is available
about the strength of the teams;
however, Pete Hershfieldis still here
which makes IDF the team to beat.
Wrestling smoker
A wrestling smoker is scheduled to
be held Dec. 2 and 3. All interested
teams may begin practicing immediate-
ly as new mats are now available.
Individuals or teams may sign up
with Dick Plante at the base gym.
Awards will be presented to first and
second place in each division.
Weights will be as in past smokers.
