(Photo by AN Joel Bugner) London trip rescheduled CNO Retention team to visit As part of a NavEur retention briefing tour, the CNO retention team will visit Keflavik and con- duct a briefing for all hands on Monday at 1 p.m. in the Andrews Theater. The briefing will include the following topics: Officer and Enlisted retention, statistics and initiatives; Compensations, accomplishments, initiatives in Progress, Long Range Objectives; NC Rating Status; and special topics including Retirement Sta- tus, Survivor Benefit Plans and practical information for reten- tion team members. The primary purpose of the briefing is to give all hands the opportunity to hear from the individuals who are working for us to provide solutions to re- tention and compensation prob- lems . All commands are urged to provide maximum participation. Holiday bazaar to be held The NATO Base Wives' Clubs annu- al Holiday bazaar can provide the answer to your problem gift-giving. The event, sponsored by the Of- ficers' Wives Club, Windbreaker Wives Club, NavFac Women's Club and 960th AWACSS Wives Club, will fea- ture a vast array of homemade gifts and Christmas decorations for tree and house. It will be held tomor- row from noon to 4 p.m. at the Low- er School Multi-nurpose room. Local births Petur Thomas Leonard was born Oct. 3 at 12:25 a.m. He is the son of RM2 Leo P. and Roxanne M. Leon- ard. Petty Officer Leonard works for TTY Repair of CommSta. Jason Matthew Lasniewski was born Oct. 4 at 3:32 a.m. He is the son of DS2 Brad W. and Patty Lasniewski. Petty Officer Lasniew- ski works for NavFac. Jason William Stanley was born Oct. 4 at 8:08 a.m. He is the son of 0T2 Anthony J. and Janet Stan- ley. Petty Officer Stanley works for NavFac. June Carolyn Klawitter was born Oct. 4 at 2:21 p.m. She is the daughter of Sergeant William L. and Carolyn M. Klawitter. Sgt. Klawitter works for the 932nd ACWS and Mrs. Klawitter works at the base gym. Norman Winslow Kearse was born Oct. 5 at 1:30 a.m. He is the son of Sergeant Norman Kearse, Jr. and his wife Bertha. Sgt. Kearse works for AFI. The special trip to London will depart from Keflavik on Nov. 22 at 5:30 p.m. will now depart from Lon- don and arrive in Keflavik at 3:55 p.m.; vice what was printed at an earlier date. A great way to spend a few days off from work and just relax. In- cluded in the price is airfare, transfers to the hotel and return (with three hotels to chose from; all with varying prices); continen- tal breakfast every morning and a 10% discount at over 400 shops and 130 restaurants in London. Sound good to you? If you're in- terested, a $50 deposit is requir- ed per person when placing your reservations; but be advised that you must do it soon as there is a very limited number of seats available. For futher information, call the Tour Office at 4200/4420. ICELANDIC SYMPHONY The Nov. 1 performance of the Icleandic Symphony Orchestra will feature composer Pall P. Palsson with piano soloist Rhonda Gilles- pie. The program will be as follows: Pall P. Palsson, New work; Strawin- sky, Concert for piano and brass; Sibelius, Symphony number 7. Tickets for the concert will be on sale at the Tour Office from Monday until noon on Friday. Bus transportation will also be pro- vided. For further information, call the Tour Office.
