O. MARIE ANN--Drama (G). Marie Ann had to
endure incredible hardships and dangers to
be with her husband, Jean Baptiste. She
had to adjust to the heartbreaking know-
ledge that her husband had an Indian "wife"
—SCHEDULE-
before coming east to marry her. She is
met with hostility from the Fort officials
because they think that the arrival of a
white woman will encourage settlers and
that will destroy the fur trade. Stars

P. DANNY—Drama (G). Twelve-year-old
Janie Neely lives with her younger brother
and widowed mother. They live in a modest
home close to a privately-owned stable.
Janie loves horses and spends as much time
there as possible. She befriends the
trainer and is taught to ride in exchange
for help around the stable. "Danny" is
bought for the owner's daughter, Andrea.
Her only interest in the pony is to carry
her to victory in the forthcoming summer
horse show. "Danny" does not respond to
Andrea. He is sold to an unknown benefac-
tor and given to Janie. Her dreams come
true as she cares for the pony. They
enter the horse show and are victorious.

R. ROLLER BOOGIE—Comedy-drama with music
(PG). Linda Blair runs away from her weal-
thy family to get into the Venice beach
skating scene. Later, the mob tries to
muscle in on the disco rink. They close
it down until the kids rally together to
route the baddies. The rink is reopened
and a roller boogie contest is held. (104

S. SILENT SCREAM--Horror-drama (R). A
group of vulnerable youngsters are imper-
iled by a homicidal maniac in a spooky old
house. A chiller involving Rebecca
Balding, Steve Doubet, John Widelock and

college housing. They take rooms in the
daffy home of young Brad Reardon and his

T. _QUEST FOR FIRE--Adventure (R). A
tribe of ape-like men who, having lost the
fire flame they carry around in a cage
which is vital to their existence, send
three of their young warriors to find
another. It's a perilous journey in which
the trio is chased up a tree by lions, do
bloody battle with cannibals and discover
that fire can be made from friction from

During the 1940's in Monterey, a mis-
matched love affair blossoms between ere-
mitic marine biologist, Nick Nolte, and an
innocent, headstrong young drifter, Debra
Winger. They are attracted to each other

V. WHOSE LIFE IS IT ANYWAY--Drama (R). A
controversial character study of a gifted
young sculptor tragically robbed of his
artistic capabilities when a senseless
auto accident leaves him permanently
paralyzed from the neck down. He believes
that he should have the right to die but
the head doctor wants to keep him alive on
his life support systems. A trial ensues.
