Credit Union services
According to Brenda McDan-
iels, Officer Manager of the
Pentagon and Navy Federal Credit
Unions here in Keflavik, the
Pentagon Federal Credit Union
(PFCU) will cease to provide
service here on July 1. How-
ever, all military or Department
of Defense personnel in this
area will be eligible for mem-
bership in the Navy Federal Cre-
dit Union (NFCU).
This change is part of a
world-wide consolidation of
branch offices designed to cut
costs and improve service. "In
areas, like Lajes, where PFCU
operates the branch office, it
is the NFCU service that will
cease," she explained.
PFCU accounts will continue
to be processed until June 30.
