Parent, Teacher Organization (PTO) and a Girl Scout
leader.
“It gives me great satisfaction to work with the
kids around base," Nancy said, “and it enables me
to spend time with my daughters."
Her daughters (Courtney, 7; Jessica, 5 and
Lauren, 2) are not the only members of the family
to receive Nancy's time. She also works closely
with her husband, Wayne, as she volunteers her
time on the Seabee Sunshine Committee, which
welcomes new Seabee families aboard.
To round out her “spare time", Nancy finds time
to be the facilitator at the Family Service Center on
cake decorating and cook some spicy-hot chili for
the Protestant Women of the Chapel’s famous chili
suppers.
A truly deserving receipient of this award, Nancy
Lawson is a model for people actively involved in
volunteering around NATO Base.
