The purpose of this program is to provide an avenue for patients to address problems and concerns on the spot. After normal hours, there are patient satisfac- tion surveys available near the door of the Acute Care Clinic. If you have a concern, take the time to complete the survey posit it in the locked box,” he continued, ese surveys are routinely collected by the quality assurance coordinator and pro- cessed. You will receive a personal response from a patient contact representative. Every patient satisfaction comment receives my /yciue 1 personal attention before the case js consid- ered closed. Here is the bottom line: There is no reason for any patient to leave the hospital having unanswered questions or harboring concerns which the ‘system’ ought to be ad- dressing. “If patients wait weeks or months before bringing their concerns to may attention, there may be little I can do after so long a time to clarify the situation or to take effective ac- tion.” Several audience members complained of the base buses and taxis not obeying the speed limit and asked if the Security Department was allowed to ticket Icelanders who break the speed limit. “We have sent letters to each of the tenant commands and contractors reminding them to obey our speed limits,” Capt. Munsterman answered. “Of all the tickets that were issued between mid-August and mid-September, only half of those were for U.S. personnel.” He suggested reporting the license plate numbers of vehicles that are seen breaking the speed limit and said, “We’ll continued to enforce the speed limit as best we can.” Editor’s Note: Issues which were not an- swered at spouse’s call will be addressed in an upcoming edition of the White Falcon.
