•f. A's Davis named Military Member of the Quarter Cryptologic Technician (Communications) Sec- ond Class Petty Officer (CT02) Kelly A. Davis is the Military Member of the Quarter for the NATO Base. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Davis is assigned to Naval Security Group Activity (NSGA), Keflavik and has been here since May. She says her job of sending and receiving messages can be pretty de- manding in addition to maintaining the circuits the messages are transmitted on. Davis says she enjoys her work and does not let things, like the environment, bother her. “As soon as I step out that door I’m thinking about what I should make for dinner. I do not have a stress problem,” she said. "Who has time for it!" As far as the actual requirement to stand before the base's senior enlisted leaders who made up the membership of the selection board, Davis says she was nervous but well prepared. “I reviewed every publication I could get my hands on." The best advice Davis says she can give anyone who is nominated in the future is to know about military customs, all the ranks in the services and know everything that is going on around you. Davis reported to Iceland after completing a tour at 4Bul Communications Station Rota, Spain. She has H her tour in Iceland thus far easier than she an- Kted. “I can’t believe that six months have Petty Officer Davis (seated) participated in the NSGA Women's Group bake sale last Saturday. (Photo by J02 Sue Hallden) already gone by,” Davis said. She added that the smaller command is much more friendler than in Rota and that when checking into the commandwith her husband, CTTSN Scott E. Davis, that the commanding officer, CDR Ronald J. Wojdyla, approached her in the mail room and said, 'You must be Davis'.” She and her husband are expecting their first child in May. MSgt.
