The Naval Security Admin office will close
at 3 p.m., every day for training from now
until July 31.
The Chapel of Light will hold a Days of
Remembrance memorial service today at 1
p.m., in the Chapel of Light. There will be a
candle lighting ceremony involving base
leaders, chaplains and essays by high school
history students. The ceremony marks the
50th Anniversary of the Holocaust.
The KCPOA will hold its monthly meeting
today, 3 p.m., at the Fleet Reserve.
A 2-mile walk/bike fun run, sponsored by
Junior Troop #2 for the Odyssey of the Mind
Team, will be held today at 6:30 p.m. It will
start from the Marine Barracks parking lot.
Cost is by donation.
The Odyssey of the Mind Team is holding
a flea market tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 2
p.m., in the Community Center. Donations
for the sale would be greatly appreciated.

The Fil-Am Association will host a Filipino
cooking demonstration May 10 at 11 a.m., in
the A.T. Mahan High School Multi-Purpose
room. Pancit, lumpia, adobo and fried rice
will be made and served for $4 per person.

Marine Corps Relief Society and high school

The second planning meeting to determine
the formation of a Keflavrk chapter of the
Armed Forces Communications and
Electronics Association (AFCEA) will meet
May 14 at 4:30 p.m., in Bldg. 286, the
NATO SATCOM building. There will be a
brief presentation on the benefits of joining
AFCEA. This organization is open to
anyone working in the electronics, com-
puter, air traffic or communicatins traffic
control arenas. AFCEA is open to govern-
ment and civilian personnel, including
contractors. If you are a current member or
are interested in joining, please attend this

The Secretary of the Navy recently
announced the approval of the Seabee
Combat Warfare Specialist pin. The pin will
be awarded to officers and enlisted that have
served with the Naval Construction Forces
and who have acquired combat skills,
knowledge and qualification requirements.
