First Girl Scout day camp here
The Girl Scouts will organize a day
camp starting July 12, and ending on July
17. It will run daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.,
with the last night being an overnight.
The camp is open to girls ages five and
up, registered and non-registered scouts
alike. The camp will meet at the Sandhut,
building 1202. Outdoor activities will be
weather permissible.
The price is to be determined, and reg-
istration fees, if any will be announced.
Connie Mehler, camp representative,
stresses the need for adult participation.
“This is a first-time situation for the Girl
Scouts here. We will be having arts and
crafts, health and fitness events and out-
door activities."
An organizational meeting will be held
Thursday, at 7 p.m. in the the AFI confer-
