Spouse Tuition Aid
The Air Force Education Office offers
spouse tuition aid five times a year, cor-
responding to the five different school
terms available at NAS, Keflavik. All
Air Force and Navy spouses are eligible
to apply for the aid
According to SSgt Daniel Johnson,
Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge
of the Air Force Education Office,
“Normally all applicants are accommo-
dated If we have more people who want
the aid then money available, we deter-
mine who will get the aid based on in-
come. Those with the least income have
first priority.”
If approved, the applicant will receive
aid equal to approximately 50 percent of
the tuition costs, up to a maximum of
$232 for one class per person, per term.
The Air Force Aid Society currently
provides about $4,800per term for finan-
cial aid. Interested spouses should fill out
forms for tuition assistanceprior to school
registration to find out if they’ll be ap-
proved. The next term starts in October.
