Verslunarskýrslur 1978 21* Bygging álbræðslu í Straumsvík hófst á árinu 1967. Samkvæmt 14. gr. samn- ings ríkisstjórnarinnar og Swiss Aluminium Limited frá 28. mars 1966, sem fékk lagagildi með lögum nr. 76/1966, er mestallt, sem með þarf til byggingar ál- bræðslunnar, undanþegið aðflutningsgjöldum og söluskatti. Þar eð hér var um að ræða erlenda fjárfestingu og mikinn innflutning af sérstökum uppruna, var sá háttur hafður á 1967 og 1968, að þessi innflutningur var ekki hafður með í árlegum innflutningstölum Verslunarskýrslna. Hins vegar var hann frá og með 1968 meðtalinn í mánaðarlegum innflutningstölum, birtum í Hagtíðindum, sjá nánar athugasemd neðst á bls. 69 í aprílblaði Hagtíðinda 1968. Til ársloka 1977 var innflutningur íslenska álfélagsins á fjárfestingarvörum tilgreindur sérstaklega í Hagtíðindum mánaðarlega, en því var hætt frá ársbyrjun 1978. Að því er varðar birtingu í Verslunarskýrslum var rekstrarvöruinnflutningur íslenska álfélagsins frá upphafi talinn með öðrum innflutningi, enda var útflutningur áls, er hófst á hausti 1969, tekinn með öðrum útflutningi. Innflutningi þessa aðila á fjárfest- ingarvörum var hins vegar fram að 1977 sleppt í öllum töflum Verslunarskýrslna, en frá og með 1977 er þessi innflutningur með talinn í öllum töflum Verslunar- skýrslna. Til 1976 var í sérstöku yfirliti í inngangi Verslunarskýrslna birt sund- urgreining á innflutningi íslenska álfélagsins, annars vegar á rekstrarvörum og hins vegar á fjárfestingarvörum, en frá og með Verslunarskýrslum 1977 er slík skipting ekki sýnd í þessu yfirliti. — Þess skal getið, að svo nefndar „verktakavör- ur“ hafa aldrei verið teknar á skýrslu og því ekki meðtaldar í yfirliti því, sem hér fer á eftir.
