Utanríkisverslun eftir tollskrámúmerum 1998
Magn
Með magni innflutnings og útflutnings er átt við nettóþyngd
(þ.e. þyngd án umbúða) hans í tonnum nema annað sé
tilgreint sérstaklega. í töflum IV og V eru magntölur til-
greindar í öðrum einingum í nokkrum tollskrárnúmerum,
þ.e. rúmmetrum (timbur), stykkjum (ýmis fatnaður, bílar,
skip, flugvélar o.fl.), pörum (skófatnaður) eða lítrum (áfengi).
Töfluefni
Tafla I sýnir útflutning og innflutning eftir tollköflum 1998.
Tollkaflar eru tveir fyrstu stafir átta stafa tollskrámúmers.
Tafla II sýnir útflutning og innflutning eftir löndum árin
1997 og 1998.
Tafla III sýnir kaupgengi og sölugengi helstu gjaldmiðla
árið 1998 og breytingar frá fyrra ári.
Töflur IV og V sýna sundurliðun innflutnings og út-
flutnings eftir tollskrárnúmerum og löndum. í báðum töflum
gildir að tollskrámúmer stendur feitletrað lengst til vinstri í
hverjum dálki og næst því, í sviga, er birt samsvarandi
vömnúmer samkvæmt hinni alþjóðlegu vömskrá hagstofu
Sameinuðu þjóðanna, þ.e. SITC-númer. I töflunum er
tollskrárnúmerum sleppt þegar enginn innflutningur eða
útflutningur kom fram árið 1998. Þegar innflutningur frá
einstökum löndum eða útflutningur til þeirra nær ekki 500
þús. kr. innan hvers tollskrárnúmers, er tölum slegið saman
undir fyrirsögninni „Önnur lönd” eða „Ymis lönd”, nema
aðeins sé um eitt land að ræða, en þá er landið tilgreint. Textar
eru birtir við einstök tollskrárnúmer, þeir em styttingar á
textum tollskrár. I viðauka er jafnframt birt ágrip af atriðis-
orðaskrá tollskrár. Þar eru tilgreind öll helstu vöruheiti sem
fram koma í tollskrá með tilvísunum til viðeigandi tollskrár-
númera.

Quantity
Quantity of imports and exports refers to net weight (i.e.
weight without packaging) in tonnes unless otherwise
specified. Under several tariff numbers in Tables IV and V
quantity has been recorded in other units, i.e. cubic metres
(wood), by piece (various kinds of clothing, cars, ships,
aircraft etc.), pairs (shoes) or litres (wine).
Table material
Table I shows exports and imports by Customs T ariff chapters
in 1998. These chapters refer to the first two digits of the
eight-digit tariff number.
Table II shows exports and imports by countries in 1997
and 1998.
Table III shows the buying and selling rates of exchange for
major currencies in 1998 and changes from the previous year.
Tables IV and V show a breakdown of imports and exports
by tariff numbers and countries. In both tables the tariff number
is printed in bold face to the left in each column, immediately
followed by the corresponding SITC number in brackets.
Tariff numbers in the two tables are omitted when there has not
been any import or export in 1997 of the items concemed.
When the value of imports from one country or exports to it
amounts to less than ISK 500,000 under the same tariff
number, ftgures have been combined under the heading “Önnur
lönd” (Other countries) or “Ymis lönd” (Various countries)
except when only one country is involved, in which case the
country is specified. Tariff numbers are pubhshed with texts
that are abbreviated forms of the Customs Tariff texts.
An appendix with an extract of the Customs Tariff Index
covers the majority of commodities listed in the tariff with
references to the corresponding tariff numbers.
