Procedure: The experiment started on 11. June and ended 1. October. In
the experiment there were 104 ewes with twins. The same number of
lambs were of each sex.
Experimental animals: The sheep were from the following farms: 1. Nordur-
hjaleiga, 2. Thykkvabæjarklaustur, 3. Hraungerdi.

Experimental site: The altitude is approximatly 470 m above sea level. The
surface is level, considerably hummocy, with the exception of pasture
