HANC CONCORDI FAMULATU - IOHANNES IESU CHRISTO
The title of the melody is “Concordia” (probably derived from
the word “concordi” in v. 1). Quite a few other sequences use the
same metre and melody, one of which appears in this collection,
namely “Petre summe Christi pastor”.
With some additions (comprising 4-5 verses) the same metre and
melody are employed in several sequences, e. g. “Epiphaniam domi-
no”; but these are only found in countries outside Germany (viz.
France, Flanders, England, Italy); and they lack the title “Concor-
dia”.
Which of these two forms is the older one, is doubtful.

In the transcription of the music, all 4 sources are taken into
consideration, and the differences are given.
The mode is Ionian, transposed to F, with b flat. (C has in some
cases forgotten to mark the b flat.)
Title of the melody is “Romana”. The sequence “Laurenti David
magni” also uses it.
