THE FOREST-SWARD VEGETATION NEAR ÁSÓLFSSTAÐlR.
The stations 1—3 are chosen in the forest-sward. 1 is
placed at the altitude of ab. 260 metres above sea-level, 2
200 metres, and 3 ab. 160 metres. 1 and 2 are north of
Asólfsstaðir, on the eastern siope of Ásólfsstaðafell, but 3 is
east of Hvammsá and southeast of Ásólfsstaðir. Station 4 is
a swamp, by the side of 3, but a little away from the river.
All the stations examined on Aug. 4th 1930. (10. ]/io M2).
