WHAT’S ON?
On MONDAYS 7th and 21st July, and every alternate Monday at 8.15 p.m., the
MUSICAL SOCIETY will hold Gramophone Recitals of first-class music.
Admission by ticket only (50 aurar), obtainable beforehand.

On MONDAYS 14th and 28th July, and every alternate Monday at 8.30 p.m., the
DEBATING SOCIETY will hold debates.
Suggestions for suitable subjects and offers to speak always welcome.

On TUESDAYS at 8.15 p.m. the Toc H Services Group, Reykjavik, holds its meet-
ings. Special talks and discussions in the “Britain after the War” series
(see Article on page 5) will be held on Tuesdays July lst and 15th, and
August 5th and 19th.

On WEDNESDAYS at 8.15 p.m. a MALE VOIGE CHOIR holds practices under
the direction of Sub-Lieut. F. W. Pitt, R.N.V.R. More men are needed for this.

On THURSDAYS at 8.15 p.m., a new series of Icelandic Classes starts on July
3rd. Instructor: Mr. Stefán Stefánsson.
On FRIDAYS 4th and 18th July, and every alternate Friday at 8.15 p.m. the
SKETCHING CLUB will meet for indoor work, and occasional lectures
and discussions.

On SUNDAY AFTERNOONS (wealher permitting) the SKETCHING CLUB fore-
gathers at the Club for outdoor work at 2.30 p.m.
On SUNDAY EVENINGS at 8.15 p.m., the PLAY-READING AND LITERARY
SOCIETY meets. Play-Readings every other week. Book reviews, prose
and poetry readings, discussions etc. every other week.
