c. Fruit fusiform, at top a few, long teeth. Outer bracts very broad, roundish
ovoid with short, obtuse ends.

cc. Fruit broadest at top with a + abrupt, ;+ long pyramid. Outer bracts more
narrow, appressed—slightly spreading.
d. Pyramid of the fruit 0.5—0.7 mm long, conic. Fruit at top with a few coarse
teeth. Petioles pale. Mid-nerve purple-coloured on both sides.

dd. Pyramid of the fruit about 1 mm long, subcylindrical. At the summit of
fruit long, tapering teeth.

bb. Leaves + deeply and regularly lobed.

d. Leaves crispate, greyish-green, rather strongly hairy, densely lobed. Head
bright-yellow. Fruit fusiform, at the summit finely toothed—warty.

f. Fruit broadest at top with + abrupt pyramid. Lobes densely placed, often
with strongly convex upper edge. The terminal lobe + large, ovoid-sagittate
or cordate with the greatest breadth just above the downward curved, short
basal lobes.

ff. Fruit fusiform, finely warted. Lobes on intermediate- and inner-leaves +
remotely placed with long, narrow, patent—reflexed, sharp end. The
terminal lobe + sagittate.
67. T. subspectabile M.P.Chr.
ee. Outer bracts narrow, linear-lanceolate—linear. Fruit at summit finely
spinulose or warty. Pyramid very short.
68. T. leptolepis M.P.Chr.

d. Leaves crispate, dark yellowish-green. Lobes densely placed, broad, often
strongly convex at the upper edge and with a short, narrow end. The terminal
lobe often oblique, sagittate-hastate. Head very dark-yellow.

dd. Leaves smooth, dark-green.
e. The plant slender. Petioles winged. Leaves very shallow lobed with 2—3
short, deltoid lobes and large, ovoid-sagittate, o—coarse-toothed terminal
lobe.
70. T. skutustadirense M.P.Chr.
ee. The plant medium-sized. Petioles broad-winged. Leaves long, lingulate—-
lanceolate, regularly lobed. Terminal lobe short, triangular—hastate. Mid-
nerve on both sides to the end shinning purple-coloured.
