wide screen TV set. The professional aura is perfected with a black
leather sofa, glass tables and elegant chairs. To break up the day,
guests can step out to the verandah for a breath of the fresh and
clean Icelandic air, or even soak in the outdoor hot tub to enhance
the creative flow.
According to Hótel Glymur’s manager, Ragna Ívarsdóttir, it is
becoming increasingly popular to break up the working day and
lighten the atmosphere with an activity of sorts, organized by the
hotel. “There are many to choose from, for example sailing, sea
angling and bird watching. At the nearby Bjarteyjarsandur, guests
get to taste gourmet Icelandic cuisine straight from the farm.
Others might prefer the 4x4 jeep rides up the mountain Botn-
sheiði which give a spectacular view over Hvalfjörður. The hotel’s
location is also very convenient for day trips, for example to the
Golden Circle or Snæfellsnes peninsula”.
