66 ICELAND REVIEW
Iceland Review Online got a new look this
spring.
New features on the website include our
photography gallery, providing readers with
a selection of recent images taken in Iceland,
and Snapshot, our photo of the day. Also new
is Readers Corner, a platform for sharing
your views on a recent story or experiences
and photos from your latest visit to Iceland.
There’s also Travel Info, a new online
booking service providing details on accom-
modation, restaurants and activities in desti-
nations around the country, and our Events
Calendar with information on upcoming
festivals, exhibitions, concerts, plays and
other performances. Our other publications,
such as maps, special supplements, Issues and
Images and travel guides, are available for
free download.
Subscribers receive a weekly newsletter
and will soon be able to access the digital ver-
sion of Iceland Review magazine on personal
computers and handheld devices, meaning
immediate access to the latest issue contain-
ing features on Iceland’s nature, culture, and
society as well as landscape photography, hot
off the press wherever you are.
Established in 1996, 33 years after the
magazine first went to print, Iceland Review
Online is the oldest and largest English lan-
guage news website in Iceland. The German
version, Iceland Review Online - Deutsch, has
been published since 2009.
At its core, Iceland Review Online aims to
provide coverage and analysis of some of
the stories making headlines in the Icelandic
media in the form of news and opinion
pieces as well as provide other useful infor-
mation for both English-speakers in Iceland
and travelers to the country. We also review
the latest Iceland-related books, films, music
and art.* www.icelandreview.com
Iceland review launched its new website earlier this
year to coincide with the magazine’s 50th anniversary.
