A popular neighborhood pool, located within walking distance of the city center. It has
an outdoor pool and children’s pool, a waterslide, five hot tubs—one of which is brand
new—a steam bath, sauna, sunbathing facilities and gym.
Sundhöllin (‘Swimming Palace’) is Iceland’s oldest public bath, designed by the noted
architect Guðjón Samúelsson. The main pool is 25 x 10-meters and has two diving
boards. Outside, on the balcony, there are two large hot tubs.
Located in Laugardalur Valley, this is Reykjavík’s largest pool. Its facilities include a
50-meter outdoor pool, outdoor children’s pool and paddling pool, two waterslides,
numerous hot tubs, steam bath, gym and mini-golf course.
