Toward International Cooperation...
The little country of Iceland has always been peopled by men and
; women rich in appreciation of high educational standards. This ap-
! predation has perhaps stemmed in part from the great Icelandic,
literature handed down, generation to generation, over the centuries.
In those districts in Canada where people of Icelandic origin have made
their homes, they have shared both qualities with their fellow Canadians.
In the broader field of international affairs, the people of Iceland
share in the world-wide organization of farmers, the International Fed-
; eration of Agricultural Producers, through their farm organization,
Stettarsamband baenda. By sharing both their culture and their ideas,
they are broadening their own influence and thinking. With Canada
and 26 other countries bound together in IFAP, Iceland is working for
international co-operation — the only sure basis for world peace.
