What an idea!
Coming to Nova Scotia was pleasant,
and we agreed that this was a part of
Canada we surely want to visit again. We
have a tendency to relate things and places
to our own experience, and the shore of
Nova Scotia reminded us of Iceland, while
the countryside, hills, and fields reminded
us on Britain. But, there were other places
we wanted to be acquainted with.
Therefore, I made the decision to spend my
last month in Canada in Gimli, where these
lines are written. The power of the place is
within me. One day, I may be tempted to
write about my stay in Gimli.
After a fantastic year in Canada, I will
be back in Iceland soon. What do I look
forward to? It is to enjoy the fragrance of
Icelandic vegetation, the beauty of the
mountains, and the brightness of the air;
and to speak Icelandic.
