WINNIPEG, FÖSTUDAGUR 11. FEBRÚAR 1983-7 V- : . The Emil Gudmundson Book Fund One of the accomplishments of the late Rev. Emil Gudmundson, D.D., was a thorough and intensive re- search of the background and'history of Unitarianism in the Icelandic pioneer settlements in the United States and Canada. This research culminated in a series of lectures which he delivered in Winnipeg and Arborg in 1981. Since then he had incorporated the substance of these lectures into a manuscript for a book. Shortly before his death on December 27, 1982, Rev. Gudmundson was ready to sub- mit the manuscript for review by a publisher. Arrangements for pub- lication of the book are now being carried on by his widow, Barbara. Anyone who wishes to honor Emil's memory by assisting with the publication may send donations to: In Memoriam Oscar Sveinson Many members of B.C.'s Icelandic . community were saddened to hear of the death of Oscar Sveinson in Nanaimo on December 12th.
