NEW YORK - Cortell Holidays
and Icelandair have introduced an
eight-day motorcoach tour of Scot-
land that, as a bonus, throws in a free
one-day stopover in Iceland on return
to the USA.
"Scotland — As You Like It,"
features visits to Edinburgh and
Glasgow, the Highlands region, in-
cluding Inverness, Loch Ness, Loch
Maree, Glen Garry, the Cairngorm
Mountains, Gairloch, and Strathspey,
as well as the seaside resorts of Oban,
the Isle of Mull, the holy island of
Iona, and more.
Land cost for the program, on a
double occupancy basis, is $935 and
includes motorcoach travel, escort,
itinerary sightseeing and entrance
fees to castles, palaces, gardens,
museums, and galleries, accommoda-
tions with private bath in first class
hotels, and continental and Scottish
breakfasts and dinner (except in
Edinburgh and Glasgow, where only
breakfast in included). Single room
supplement is $95. Add Icelandair
roundtrip airfare to Glasgow to tour
price.
Highlights of the touring include
Edinburgh Castle; Holyroad Palace,
the Queen's residence when she is in
Scotland; the storied gardens of In-
verewe: the National Park on the Isle
of Mull; the restored abbey on Iona;
and the picturesque town of In-
veraray, site of the Duke of Argyll's
castle, repository of magnificent ar-
mor and relics of the Spanish Arman-
da and the Campbell clan.
Returning by Icelandair to New
York, Chicago, or Baltimore-Wash-
ington, all tour purchasers will
receive a complimentary day's stop-
over in Reykjavík, capital of Iceland,
that comprises transfers from airport
to city, first class hotel accommoda-
tions, continental breakfast, a guid-
ed sightseeing tour of two and one-
half hours, and hotel service charges
and taxes.
Independent travelers to Scotland
or Iceland might also wish to take ad-
vantagf of Cortell Holidays' attrac-
tive car rental program and flexible
accommodations program. Car ren-
tals can be as low as $57 for three
days and $109 for a week's use of a

The annual Frón Curling Bonspiel
was held March 10, 1983 at the Win-
nipeg Winter Club. This event
always proves to be a lot of fun for
those who partake.
This novelty bonspiel consists of
three perhaps four games of curling.
Each game is three ends. A woman
must skip or play third. Skips rocks
are thrown to decide ties. After the
curling, a lovely lunch was served
and good fellowship enjoyed by all.
This year's winners were Terry &
Lorna Tergesen and Glen & Sharon
Tergeson. They received the trophy
plus a gift of Icelandic scarves, toques
and mitts. Runners up were the Skuh
Sigfusson rink.
Second event was won by the Ar-
nold Sova team and the runners up
were the Ferguson family.
Third event went to the Gisli
Sigfusson team and runners up were
A. Thorvaldson and team.
The evening was organized by Gisli
& Joyce Sigfusson and Norma Krist-
janson. Prizes weré generously
donated by Icelandia, Round Table,
Jonathans, Swensons, D-Jays, Asgeir-
' son Paint & Hardware and Air
Canada.
