Dahlman, beloved wife and mother,
who passed away March 30, 1982
and Raymond Erie Dahlman, dear
son and brother, who left us June 3,
1979 we dedicate the following poem
written by her father,- Guttormur J.

"Good Night''
Stillness reigns — The winds are
sleeping.
All our world is bent on keeping
Tryst with night, whose wings are
sweeping
From the west each ray of light.
Dusk — a soft and silken cover
Over all is seen to hover
In its readiness to cover
All the drowsy world — Good night.
Earth — a restful bed inviting
All her tired to sleep — Good night.
Those who laboured long, untiring,
Hail this time of rest — desiriijg
Strength renewed through sweet
retiring,
Welcome thoughts of short respite,
And through spaces real or seeming
Find the Eden of their dreaming,
Soar to starry ways — redeeming
Hours of toil and pain — Good night
With the golden suns of heaven
As companion-stars — Good night.
God of sleep, descent embracing
All the weary souls, effacing
Pain and grief, — They pinions
tracing
Airy ways in dreamy flight.
God of dreams, prolong endearing
Scenes for all whose luckless steering
Wrecks their ships; — who go career-

Obituary
Petur Bjarni Petursson
On February 23, 1983, at the Grace
Hospital, Petur Bjarni Petursson, ag-
ed 61 years, beloved husband of Edie
Petursson.
Besides his beloved wife Edie (Nor-
man); he is survived by his children,
Dianne and husband Don Brown,
Gaile and husband David Hiley,
Susan and husband Pat Flynn, all of
Winnipeg, son Petur (Tony) and
daughter Shirley, at home; grand-
children, Craig and Erin Brown and
Bryan Flynn; his sisters, Elsa Ar-
nason and Rosa Sigmundson of
British Columbia and Lillja Macken-
zie of Winnipeg; brothers, Rev.
Phillip Peterssons and wife Kay of
Winnipeg, Hannes and wife Begga of
Thornhill, Ont. and Sigurdur and
wife Suzanne of Mississauga, Ont.;
two aunts, Olive Paulson of Califor-
nia and Ethel Lynch of Washington
and numerous nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Petur was born in Winnipeg June
26, 1921, where he lived all his life
except during the Second World War,
when he was stationed in England

with the Ordnance Crops. He was a
member of No. 4 Branch, Royal
Canadian Legion. On his return to
Winnipeg in 1945, he worked for
Breen Motors for a short time, then
with the Manitoba Government for
23 years, first with the Land Titles
Office, then the Health and Social
Services Department, until his retire-
ment in 1976.
He was predeceased by his father
Olafur in 1952, his mother Annie
(McNab) in 1960 and three brothers,
an infant in 1910, Valdi in 1968 and
Bjorn in 1975.
Cremation has taken place.
At Petur's request, there was no
funeral nor memorial services.
