NEW MESS COOKS AT KEFLAVIK?—Last Friday at Naval Station Keflavik’s mess halls, military enlisted personnel were greeted by these young ladies of “The Cardi-
nalairs”, a USO troupe, as they served the noon meal. A Galley spokesman said, that for the first time in months, all mess halls had a record attendence for a noon meal
and completely ran out of food! Some how the word went around over the Station that the Navy had hired some new mess cooks .... girls. Men, sleepy-eyed made it to
the mess hall with a buddie commenting, “Hey Bill, you haven’t been to a noon meal during the six months you’ve been stationed here!” Those in the long chow line with an
ogling look, by-passed trays, dishes, and silverware astonished to see all that feminine beauty up ahead serving the meal.
