The old-time bugler has been mechan-
ized in some units of the United States
Army. A loudspeaker pays the necessary
records for getting the men up and other
routine calls of army life.
By injecting what he calls “intrasauc-
es” into the hearts of chickens and ducks,
a French scientist provides a natural spicy
flavour to the meat. The sauce circulates
in the blood stream.
Something new in advertising, a per-
fumed advertisement, has recently made
its appearance in a St. Louis, U.S.A.,
paper. The advertisement bore the aroma
of the product advertised, a brand of new
perfume. The ink used on the printing
presses was scented; this gave the news-
paper its pleasant odour.
Though each hair on our heads has a
liíe of only six months to two years, after
which it falls out and is replaced by a
new one, hair actually is the least de-
structible part of the body. It remains
preserved longer than any other part of
the body after death.
