Sandgerdi Golf Course
Family Fun

For all you golf lovers, the
course at Sandgerdi is now
open and accepting new member-
ships. The clubhouse is open
from May 1 to Oct 1, but those
with memberships may play all
year. An annual membership is
just 25000 Kr for men, 21000 Kr
for women, or 36000 Kr for the
whole family! This membership
allows you to play at Sandgerdi,
Grindavik, or Vogar all year. It
also allows you to play at GKG
(near Reykjavik) for just 500 Kr
per round. Also, there are many
tournaments throughout the sum-
mer that are only available to
members*. There are even some
youth tournaments*.
*Fee for tournaments not included in annual membership
OFFICE HOURS:
8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Mon. through Fri.
However, nonmembers can pay
per round, and there are a few
tournaments open to all. The
greens fees are as follows: after 2
p.m. 15000 Kr for 18, lOOOKrfor
9; children under 15 pay just 800
Kr for 18 and 500 Kr for 9; before
2 p.m. on weekdays you can play
for only 1000 Kr for 18 or 700 Kr
for 9.
Do your children want to learn
how to play golf? Sandgerdi golf
course offers FREE lessons for
children every Tuesday evening at
6 p.m. Two expert golfers, Bjarni
Sig and Bjarni Ben, teach these
lessons. For more information
about the class, to sign up, or set
a tee-time, call 0-423-7802.
CLUBHOUSE HOURS:
Weekends 11 a.m. -9 p.m.
Weekdays 3 p.m. -9 p.m.
To come earlier, just pay the
greens keeper.
