Person Of
The Month
Patty Mosier
Being active has always been
part of Patty's lifestyle, but
she started scheduling her
exercise sessions after her
first child was bom ten years
ago. Her goal is to do a step
aerobic class at least four
days a week and to lift
weights twice a week. Patty
says she always feels great
after exercising. For her, it is
a fantastic stress reliever and
she feels that her body is
receiving many benefits from
exercise. She admits that she
is not a happy person if she
does not do an aerobic exer-
cise session for more than
three days! She says taking
care of herself is not just
about exercising, but it is also
about eating right and hav-
ing some quiet time every-
day to read, relax, and enjoy
life. Well said, Patty!

Balance Is Beneficial
Make sure you are balancing your strength training work-
outs. In other words, if you do bench presses, do exercises that
work the opposing muscle groups, which would be upper
back and posterior shoulders. This not only improves posture
and muscle balance, it makes you stronger as well!
