The Child Development Center, School-Age Program (SAP) at the Youth Center and Child Development Home Providers have many positions open to suit everyone's needs. We are looking for caring people who enjoy work- ing with children from ages 6 weeks to 12 years of age for day and night shifts. We have FLEX, part-time and full-time jobs open. As a FLEX employee we are able to work around your military schedule. All of the center based jobs are listed with the MWR Personnel Office in tire main MWR build- ing. CORRECTION FROM LAST WEEK: As a Child Development Home Provider (CDH) you can set your own hours and have tire freedom to earn money while staying at home with your own children. For more information on the CDH program, please call either Jennifer or Jacqualine at 7597. Basic qualifications to work with children are: high school diploma/GED, speak, read, write English, background screening, and enjoy the many challenges involved in work- ing with children. No previous training is required. All training is provided after you start working. You don't have to be a parent to enjoy working with kids! August Fit Person Of The Month Patty Mosier Being active has always been part of Patty's lifestyle, but she started scheduling her exercise sessions after her first child was bom ten years ago. Her goal is to do a step aerobic class at least four days a week and to lift weights twice a week. Patty says she always feels great after exercising. For her, it is a fantastic stress reliever and she feels that her body is receiving many benefits from exercise. She admits that she is not a happy person if she does not do an aerobic exer- cise session for more than three days! She says taking care of herself is not just about exercising, but it is also about eating right and hav- ing some quiet time every- day to read, relax, and enjoy life. Well said, Patty! Temporary Cell Phones Need to rent a phone fast? If so, the Tour Office has one for you! The Tour Office now rents out "Ericsson" cell phones to the public. This new service is fast and easy for those who plan on staying on the base for a short while. To rent out a phone is a simple process. You can call over the phone, or go to the Tour Office in the main MWR building. Just don’t forget your credit or debit card. This new service is a moral boost hopeful with many benefits for the people. These services include; voicemail, SMS recep- tion, Caller ID, 24 hours free Customer Service, Call waiting, Call hold, Emergency Calls. It is $2 a day for the first fifteen days plus call expenses, then the price drops to $1 a day plus call expenses. The call expenses for Monday-Friday is as shown: • Peak Time 0800-1900 is 26Kr/ min • Off Peak Time 1900-00 is 14Kr/min • Nighttime 00-0800 is lOKr/min The call expenses for Saturdays and Sundays is as shown: • Peak Time 0700-1900 is 14Kr/ min • Off Peak Time 1900-00 is lOKr/min • Nighttime 00-0700 is 10Kr/min The area of coverage is continually being enlarged and improved, but variations may occur as a result as topography, buildings, etc... Reception may differ due to the structure of a building, making it dif- ficult for radio signals to penetrate different types of buildings. When your airtime account is running low, you will hear a tone at five minutes, one minute, and thirty seconds left on the account. House Gymnasium Balance Is Beneficial Make sure you are balancing your strength training work- outs. In other words, if you do bench presses, do exercises that work the opposing muscle groups, which would be upper back and posterior shoulders.
