What's At The
Wood Shop?
Do you like making things, but you can’t tell the
difference between plywood, and a brick? You should come
down to MWR's Wood Shop, and take wood working classes. Two classes available
now are Beginning Woodwork, and Experienced Woodwork.
The Beginning Class is for those new to working
with wood, or for the experienced who need a
refresher. The Experienced Class, however, is for
those who are EXPERIENCED! Experienced
Woodworking offers basic safety, certification, rules of
the Wood Shop, and more.
Of course taking these classes has many benefits.
Knowing that it is difficult and expensive to get furni-
ture here in Iceland, you can now build or refinish
your very own furniture for less than it would cost in
a store. Also, if you don’t want to take the class, but
just want something fixed, the Wood shop will fix it.
It’s easy to learn how to work with wood, and
will definitely be a benefit and not to mention fun!
The Wood Shop is located in building 773, in the
back of Craftech. You can call the shop at 6191, and
the shop hours are: Tuesday from lOam-lOpm,
