I The Canadian Livestock Co-operative The Canadian Livestock Co-operative is the greatest Livestock organization in the country. It handles all livestock shipped by its members to the best ad- vantage for the producer. It spans the continent and has favorable market connection beyond the Atlantic. It was organized and is operated for protection and sole benefit of the producer. The large business done during the year 1929 and the 11 months of 1930 testifies to its usefulness. Total shipments to Union Stockyards in St. Boniface from Mani- toba in 1929 was as follows: Cattle & Calves Hogs Sheep 133,275 148,214 35,427 The share handled by Canadian Cattle & Calves Hogs 31,361 50,544 Livestock Co-operative: Sheep 15,626 Value $2,782,122.66 For 11 months 1930 the Canadian Livestock Co-operative has handled: Cattle & Calves Hogs Sheep 21,715 40,113 17,344 Value $1,950,777.02 which is nearly 25% of Cattle, 36.8% of Hogs and over 40% of Sheep shipped to the yards during that period.
