Among the major provisions

The bill is designed to make

more closely’’ with procedure
used in criminal trials in U. S.

Accor di ng to Maj. Gen. Rennet h
J. Hodson, Army judge advocate
general, speaking for all the
military services, this would
‘‘enhance the prestige and ef-

The New York Mets are the phe-
nomena of t he Nat i onal League.
Their pitchers strike out 19.2
per cent of al 1 bat t er s f aci ng
them vs. only 15.2 per cent in
’67. Ifyan is the Met ’ s sensation,
striking out 58 men in only 6
games. He leads the league in
SCYs. Singer, of the Dodgers,
has 57 strikeouts t o hi s credit,
and Sadecki of the Giants, 51.
Cleveland leads the American
League t hi s season j ust as t hey

WfcLain of Detroit with 52; then

Gan the Indians keep up this
strikeout pace? They did it last
year. But pitching is not 100
per cent of the game. The Qeve-

100 runs this year over last if
they are to make a serious
t hr eat for t he pennant.
