hair, booze and gifts head the list

just want to talk to someone? Call Commander's Action Line 2231 any time
between 8:30 a. m. and 4:30 p. m. weekdays. Below are some of the calls we
have received which are of general interest:
Caller: How long before haircut and _________________
sideburns regulations wiU be redefined
by the command in accordance with Z-
gram 57?
C. A. L.: Previous restrictions and
limits are now defunct. The current
guideline is that an individual must be
•idclean in appearance. The leng-
|air and sideburns depends on the
being worn, and the job and ap-
pearance of the wearer. This requires
more individual responsibility of the
military man and more positive, re-
sponsive leadership from the officers
and petty officers.
Caller: How and whencan Christmas
packages be removed from the agreed
area?
C. A. L.: Christmas presents bought
by people here, whether from the ex-
change or mailorder, aresubject to the
same regulations as items bought at any
time of year. These items would eith-
er count against your take-off allowance
or be listed on appropriate customs
forms.

of solutions but, finally two Air Force
enlisted men.SMSgt. James W. Pear-
ce and MSgt. Irvin D. Weed — both
stationed at Rockville — have under-
taken the challenge to make a reality
of a much needed service.
They are using an IBM 8080 to make

first list which can be located in the
