Library receives
J
new paint, books
This week the library has been closed
for repairs. Nine people from Weapons
and two from the Communications Sta-
tion have contributed their free time to
help in the repainting.
In addition, a new furnace was in-
stalled and before the library is re-
opened, it is hoped that new improved
lighting will also be installed. While
this work is going on, the two full time
librarians, Mrs. JanEbersole and Mrs.
Terry Ogle, along with Mrs. Ester
Carpi the part time librarian, are ca-
taloging the 200 new books that will be
added to the more than 5000 volumes
already on the shelves.
The library will also have approxi-
mately 25 Christmas records avail-
able for checking out when it opens
again, next Tuesday or Wednesday.
Repainting and repairing were the "words of the week" at the
station library this week as volunteers from NavCommSta and
Weapons chipped in their support in general refurbishing
operations. (Photo by AN Robin L. Wagner)
