Sixty-five teenagers are en-
rolled in a base club organiza-
tion called Dial-a-Teen.
Started on June 7, Dial-a-Teen
is simply a telephone employment
service for teenagers.
The types of jobs that Dial-a-
Teen fills are: Assisting at a
party,washing and/or waxing cars,
baby sitting, lawn work, house
cleaning, ironing, typing and tu-
toring. Each job has a specific
set price.
In the past month, the Dial-a-
Teen Secretary has filled an av-
erage of 5.4 jobs a day for the
club members, showing progress
compared to last month's average
of 4.6 jobs a day.
Says Teen Club advisor Jan
Shaw, "Dial-a-Teen is acting as an
ermediate for jobs that would
rwise never be found. Also,
have been able to keep many
teenagers quite busy this summer.
The compliments and praise for
this service has been outstanding."
Mrs. Shaw also noted that they
wish to continue Dial-a-Teen
throughout the winter months, and
that they are presently awaiting
approval.
If you have a job that needs
to be done, but you don't have
the time, leave it up to Dial-a-
Teen. Just dieil T.E.E.N.
