Vp'p The next stop was an outcrop- ping on Kleifarvatn, the lake near Krisuvik and the hot springs d pits. Here we ate lunch and lored the area. Peggy pointed out that during the summer months tents dot the hillsides and fish- ermen can be seen on the lake and shoreline. After eating, snapping pic- tures and policing the area to make sure we didn't leave any itter we headed down the winding ighway between Reykjavik and Keflavik. We returned to the USO Center about 2 p.m. We "survived" the driving of Peggy (which wasn't really that bad), the closed road, mud, bumps, and the hot springs without mis- haps. Everyone also got a chance to see a little bit of Icelandic countryside and take pictures to remember it by. The USO plans the trips every week and all you have to do is sign up. Each week the tour goes to a different area and every Sunday offers different fun. If you want more information about the Survival Course Tour, call the USO at ext. 6113 or stop by the center.
