Base Dispensary
Another day of caring
Whether they are treating a minor cold or performing surgery, the attitude is
always the same: The people at the base dispensary genuinely care about you as an
individual.
The atmosphere is professional and pleasant--there is no outward indication of
pressure or stress among the staff of six doctors, seven nurses and 42 hospital
corpsmen. On a monthly average, 2700 patients are treated at the dispensary.
Recently, Victoria Eastman, the five-year-old daughter of Yfll and llrs. Paul
Eastman, Naval Station Admin, underwent an adnoidectoipy at the dispensary. Bob
Grier, a "0-Su photographer, followed the child's experience and recorded the
essence of the dispensary's atmosphere in this picture story.......
