store hours is being studied. We are
striving to lengthen hours on Satur-
. days to provide you better service
and more convenience on our peak day
of sales. The new hours will be pub-
lished as soon as approval is re-
ceived.
Service Station Hours
The Service Station changes hours

to provide you service on Sundays,
the Service Station will close at

a.m. - 2 p.m. for gas and oil only.
Advisory Board
The Navy Exchange/Commissary Ad-
visory Board, headed by Commander D.
Cox filling in for Commander R.
Truax, met last week. Attendance was
not perfect, and we urge those units
not represented to get their people
.to the next meeting. The advisory
board meets ' quarterly. The results
of the meeting will be published at a
later date.
Shortage of Hops?
No, there-is no shortage of hops,
as far as we know anyway. Nor is
there a shortage of spring water.
Those are not the reasons for the
beer shortage we have been experien-
cing. We do have a few reasons, how-
ever. Number one, of course, is the
problem due to the Anheuser-Busch
breweries being on strike. This lack
of our largest selling beer puts too
much strain on our stock of other
brands. Schlitz and Pabst went out
of our warehouse so fast we didn't
even see it! There is just no way we
can compensate for the shortage; our
pipeline is a little too long. The
erratic shipping of the last month
also hindered our getting beer in
sooner. We also feel that the change
over from regular shipping to the use
of the military vans has slowed down
beer shipment.
There is a bright light shining
somewhere in all this darkness, how-
ever. We recently received word that
130 pallets of assorted beer and soda
are expected in the next ship.
Shoe Sale
Our shoe concessionaire is offer-
ing his goods at discounted prices.
Brice reductions of 10 to 402 will be
offered starting this week. Stop in
and take advantage of the many bar-
gains being offered in fine European
shoes.

of knee socks in various shades and
colors are expected shortly. Schick
blades will be ordered.
Insect spray, 75-watt light bulbs.
Both products are on order. The
light bulbs should be in this month,
the insect spray next month.
I am looking for a set of sheets/
you have dozens on hand. However,
they are the bottom fitted type. No
matching pillow cases either. Why?
R. Combs
The current stock of sheets and
pillow cases are all that's left from
previous shipments which have vir-
tually sold out. Fresh new stock is
on the ship which is due to arrive
this week. Merchandise will be on
the exchange shelves shortly.

cigarettes.
Dr. Kirk

on a regular basis due to increased
customer demand. It is now consider-
ed in our "never out" category.
Would you stock instamatic camer-
as? Can you order Pearl Drop tooth-
paste?
Instamatic cameras are currently
on order and should arrive during
late June. Tooth polish products can
be ordered only in very large quanti-
ties and with further demand this
product will be stocked.

Spice stick deodorant. R.J. Rentner

nen products are on order and should

February and are expected anytime.
X would like' the new exchange
paperback section to stock sports
magazines such as Sports Illustrated
or any baseball and football mags.
These magazines will be coming in
the future as well as soft cover
paperbacks and hardcover books of
interest to sports fans.
How about stocking Dunhill cigar-
ettes from England? p. Walsh-
There is not enough demand at this
time to stock this product. If addi-
tional requests are received we will
try it on a test basis.
Do you expect any Yashica Electro
35 cameras?
A limited amount of Yashica pro-
ducts will be ordered, but they will
not arrive for some time. Customers
wishing to purchase these products
now may do so through the special
order desk or the Yokosuka mail order
catalog.
X would like to know why I have to
buy a new razor because you don't
have Trac II blades stocked. If you
can have plenty of the others, why
not this? i. Gourley
Trac II blades are on order and
are expected in soon.
You have not had 90 min. TDK Super'
Dynamic cassette tape tor three
months despite the fact that it is
the bast selling quality tape. Why?
David W. Bush
Presently, the stereo shop stocks
five types of 90 min. cassette tape.
TDK Super Dynamic was discontinued
because of poor sales. If more re-
quests are received for it we'll try
again.
Why doesn't the Exchange carry ink
cartridges? You carry the pens but
don't sell the refills. S. Maxey
Refill cartridges will be ordered.
Why not order more than 30 copies
of Time and Newsweek? LCdr. Hess
Additional copies of all the
better selling publications have been
ordered and you should see them for
sale in the near future.
When will the Exchange be receiv-
ing some normal kitty litter? The
"Litter Green" item you now have in
stock is definitely out of favor with
our cat apparently because of its
strange texture and over powering
hayfield odor. D.J. McAuley
Apparently all the cats in the
area feel the same way. The "Litter
Green" has been discontinued and
regular litter is available.

magazine rack at the Navy Lodge —
