Player of the week
The KR women's and men's team from
Reykjavik avenged a double loss last
week with the Billikens and Berrypick-
ers, 46-44, and, 86-52, respectively.
In women's play, the NATO women had the
ball for a last shot towards the end of
the game.
The halftime score was 12-10 with
neither team hitting consistently.
In the second half, both teams made a
total of 70 points.
High scorer for the NATO women was
Robin Hollier with 21 points while the
visitors' Amelia Jackson (10), Amy God-
min (15), and Bella Godwin (13) finished
in the teens.
Scott Washburn of the CFK Commodores
was chosen player of the week for his
consistently outstanding play for CFK.
Scott scored 15 points in his team's 38-
36 win over AIMD and 22 in their 54-49
win against Rockville.
Scott is high scorer in the National
League, averaging 14 points per game.
Scott's best shot is a jumpshot, and
his range and speed are exceedingly
fast.
Game of the week
NSGA defeated Latter Day Saints, 40-
38, to take the game of the week. At
halftime, the score was 18 to 12. Fon-
tes made the winning basket with a
driving layup.
High point men for NSGA were: Parham
(8), Hernandez (12), and Fontes (10).
For the Latter Day Saints» Murray (12)
was the high scorer.
