It's USO's birthday Thursday. Five years ago
USO Keflavik was dedicated "to the well being and
comfort of the Iceland Defense Force." USO will
give a gift if you present a snack bar ticket
with the number five on it, all day Thursday.
USO is still trying to organize a chess club in
the chess capital of the world—Iceland. If inter-

It's time again for the free PWOC chili supper
at the USO Thursday. Serving begins at 5 p.m. for
all unaccompanied service personnel. And, to top
dinner off, be sure to partake of the homemade
desserts specially prepared by the PWOC.

plant hangers in people's windows? Charlene will
show you how to make mere knots into your own
original plant hanger or wall hanging. Classes
will be held at the USO Tuesday 7-9 p.m. and

eight years from the Amazon jungle with
a male comnanion. The sportsman's wife,
believing she was widowed, is about to

MONDAY: D-DAY, THE SIXTH OF JUNE—The
year is 1944 and a half-million men

TUESDAY: SECRET OF THE SPHINX—Included
in an archeological expedition in the
desert, searching for a fortune in stolen
gold, is an undercover insurance investi-
gator. Customs agents and local police

WEDNESDAY: RETREAT HELL—The setting is
the Korean War, where human drama unfolds
on the battlefield, as seasoned veterans

FRIDAY: ASSAULT ON THE WAYNE—Enemy es-
pionage agents infiltrate a Navy com-
mander's crew, setting in motion a chain
of events which jeopardize the feasibi-
lity of turning nuclear submarines into
movable ABM sites. Stars Leonard Nimoy,
William Windom, Keenan Wynn, Joseph
Cotten and Dewey Martin.
FRIDAY: THE NIGHTCOMERS—A bizarre tale
of two young, innocent children who are
left in the care of a housemaid, a tutor
and a grounds keeper after the sudden
death of their parents. A macabre tale
of sadism and murder. Stars Marlon
Brando, Thora Hird, Harry Andrews, Anna
Palk and Stephanie Beacham. Parental

balls, steamed rice or scalloped noodles
with cheese, tomatoes and bacon, but-
tered lima beans and lyonnaise carrots.

key croquettes or veal pinwheels, vege-
table gravy, snowflake potatoes, sea-
soned mixed vegetables and buttered
broccoli spears.
Tomorrow—Brunch at 10 a.m.—logging
soup, grilled cheese sandwiches and
French fried potatoes.
Dinner: French onion soup, grilled
beef steak to order, sauteed onions,

baked Spanish.beef patties with natural
sauce, paprika potatoes, buttered mixed

Dinner: chicken vegetable soup, new-
port fried chicken, brown chicken gravy,
mashed potatoes, steamed rice, creole
green beans and fried okra.
Wednesday—Lunch: knickerbocker soup ,
beef casserole, veal croquettes, to-
mato gravy, baked macaroni and cheese,
seasoned garden peas and summer squash.
Dinner: cream of potato soup, ginger
pot roast, natural gravy, oven glow po-
tatoes , buttered corn on the cob and sea-
soned French fried greens.
Thursday—Lunch: creole soup, fried
Icelandic fish or oriental skillet,
French fried potatoes, Keflavik fried
rice, polonaise broccoli spears and
spiced beets.
Dinner: cheese soup, glazed ham
loaf or beef porcupines, vegetable gra-
vy, mashed potatoes, sauteed corn and
buttered brussel sprouts.
Friday—Lunch: chicken rice soup,
stuffed cabbage, rolls or turkey scal-
lops, O'brien potatoes, seasoned lima
beans and buttered carrots.
Dinner: pepper pot soup, barbecued
corned beef or simmered frankfurters,
